Vilamoura is a contemporary yet relaxed area of the Algarve and is as much about being by the sea as on the fairway.

Modern, lively and sophisticated, Vilamoura has developed around its award winning 1,000 berth marina, and is today one of the largest leisure resorts in Europe.

A purpose built resort, set over 170 hectares, Vilamoura has five championship golf courses, as well as an award winning marina at its heart. It is also home to luxury hotels, a casino, spectacular beaches, world class equestrian facilities, water sports and a tennis centre. It has a thriving holiday rental market and is popular with second home owners as well as year round residents.

In Vilamoura you can choose from many different types of properties: apartments, townhouses and villas, either in condominiums or as standalone options.

For many years there had been no construction in Vilamoura following from the crash in 2008, however from 2017 onwards confidence returned and construction began. During this time a number of new developments with apartments as well as modern golf fronted villas have been added to Vilamoura’s portfolio.

There are no resort fees to pay if you own a standalone property in Vilamoura, but there will be condominium fees to pay if you own in an individual condominium. These fees will vary from condominium to condominium – a general rule of thumb, the more bits and bobs a condominium has, the higher the fees will be.
