Porto de Mós is in the Western Algarve and lies next to the larger town of Lagos. Porto de Mós has the second largest beach in the Lagos region and is a great alternative in the summer months as it is slightly less crowded with tourists topping up their tans.

Set amidst steep cliffs and lined with soft golden sands Porto de Mós is the smaller, more tranquil neighbour to Lagos. Ideal if you are looking for a holiday home away from the main tourist spots or if you are a surfer, beach lover or sun worshipper.

It is a family friendly area and the beach provides clean waters and is lifeguard supervised during the summer season. There are two good beach restaurants/cafés, the Restaurante O António and the CampiMar Restaurante Bar, both serve up a filling lunch or hearty meal after a day on the beach.

Porto de Mós is a great location to buy in if you are looking for good rental returns as the area is family friendly and does offer some alternative activities to just topping up the tan. There are beach kayak tours of the stunning Ponta da Piedade and the cliffs and beach offer good walking and hiking trails that pass through varied landscape. The most popular walk follows the coast and cliffs to the Lighthouse at Ponta da Piedade.
