Sagres is where Portugal runs out. Cape St Vincent is the southwesternmost point of mainland Europe, and for a long time it was believed to be the edge of the known world.
It is perfect for walking, cycling, surfing, scuba diving and getting a taste of an Algarve that remains largely untouched by mass tourism.
