Vale do Lobo is the Algarve's original resort, and still one of its most complete. Where Quinta do Lago is quiet and residential, Vale do Lobo has a genuine centre of gravity — the Praça, with its restaurants, shops and tennis academy, sits right on the beach.
The property mix is broader than its neighbour: front-line villas on the cliff, linked townhouses, and apartments within walking distance of the sea. That range makes it one of the few prime addresses with a realistic entry point.
Two eighteen-hole courses — the Royal and the Ocean — run through the resort, and the famous par-three sixteenth over the cliffs is on the Royal. Rental demand is strong and consistent, which is why it remains a favourite with investment buyers.
